Polycarbonate (Lexan) corner guards are extruded and so cannot be produced with custom size sides. For example, we cannot form 1.5’’ x 2.75’’ sides but we can cut the products down to custom lengths from 120’’ down. These products are not UAV rated and are not intended for exterior use. If installed in an exterior location, these products will discolor and crack.

Polycarbonates (PC) are a group of thermoplastic polymers containing carbonate groups in their chemical structures. Polycarbonates used in engineering are strong, tough materials, and some grades are optically transparent. They are easily worked, molded, and thermoformed. Because of these properties, polycarbonates find many applications. Polycarbonates do not have a unique resin identification code (RIC) and are identified as "Other", 7 on the RIC list. Products made from polycarbonate can contain the precursor monomer bisphenol A (BPA).

Can you drill Lexan polycarbonate?
Polycarbonate (Lexan) is extremely impact resistant but keep holes preferably 2 material thicknesses away from the edges. If the part is large (over 12" in any dimension) drill your holes 1/32" oversized. Lexan has 2-3 times the expansion and contraction of most metals. This will prevent both buckling and tearing. Standard wood working drill bits are suitable for drilling holes in polycarbonate sheet. ... This will ensure the drilling will not blowout the panel as the drill exits the material. Do not under any circumstances use a center punch on a polycarbonate panel, it's very likely to cause damage.
How do you cut Lexan polycarbonate?
When you need to cut Lexan, you can essentially treat it as a sheet of plywood and cut it with any power saw you would use for that material. Make straight cuts with a circular saw or table saw, and curved ones with a band saw or jigsaw. You should use carbide-tipped blades with closely spaced teeth.
How strong is Lexan polycarbonate?

Does Lexan scratch easily?
it averages much higher on the Rockwell scale which determines how hard the material is . and since its harder than plexiglass it is more scratch resistant. Straight polycarbonate (Lexan) is EASIER to scratch than acrylic (Plexiglas).
